New York (Part 1)

001

Sorry... i had to post an image of Times Square (Very touristy of me)

I had forgotten how much i love the city of Manhattan! It is, in my oppinion, the most amazing city in the world. Ranging from SOHO to Times Square to Brooklyn, it has it all. I didn't take nearly enough pictures but i'm not sure that pictures could capture it anyway. I stayed near Battery Park and Ground zero, and even though it is probably one of the dullest parts of the city... i still LOVED it. I can't say enough good things about it. It has been too long since i've been here. I'm hoping to come back in August.

Here are a few photos...

Fun Stuff. Here is a preview of a couple of those things... more to come. Also, stay tuned for (hopefully) a daily update from my trip in New York.

Lakers Chaos

Last night Me, Drew, Jeff, Jordan and Andy went to LA on the train. Our train was shut down due to the riots on our way home and we were forced to get out at the staples center. After stepping off the train we heard a ton of sirens and, being 18 year old males, followed the sound of cop cars. we ended up directly out front of the staples center and in the middle of the riots. people were smashing car windows, throwing rocks at the buisness' windows around us, port-a-pottie's were being tipped over in the middle of the road, trash cans were being thrown, cars driving by were getting their windows smashed and we were directly in the middle of it. The SWAT finally arrived and did there best to stop it but it was an almost worthless attempt. We ended up getting picked up by a friend but in the chaos of the evening and many many memories were made (transvestites, riots, tweekers... all of the above). Here's a few pictures i took as we were running so we didn't get hit with the rubber bullets and peper spray bullets the police in riot gear were shooting off. haha

I was just looking at Samuel Lippke's blog (samuellippke.com/blog) and saw a post he put about V Magazine and i checked it out. Its freaking amazing... the shots blow me away and as Samuel pointed out on his blog, Mario Testino is a god of photography (ok that was a bit extreme). but check it out!!!

WT Fun Tree

Last night I shot one of the funiest, most provocative and down right WT (white trash) shoots i've ever done. I shot it for two of the members of Fun Tree. The shoot consisted of babies, 40's, raw meat, spray painted thunderbirds, short shorts and Fun Tree. That inevitably will result in an interesting evening. Here are a few shots... enjoy
